LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- In just 24 hours, Miley Cyrus has a set a new VEVO record for her new video for “Wrecking Ball.”
As
of Tuesday morning, the racy video – which features Miley in various
states of undress swinging on a large wrecking ball (naturally!) – has
clocked in with more than 15 million views.
During
the first day, the video beat out One Direction’s previous VEVO record
for “Best Song Ever,” which had more than 12.3 million views during its
June 25 debut.
“Wrecking Ball has officially beat the @VEVO record… thank you smilerzzzzz,” Miley wrote on Twitter.
The 20-year-old singer – who was announced on Monday as host and musical guest for “Saturday Night Live” on October 5 – also revealed the track listing for her upcoming album, “Bangerz.”
